Use Twitter Tweet for Business

twitter for businessI do wonder at times if some Twitter users have any time to get any work done. Several of the more prolific ones that I follow swear they spend no more than 30 minutes a day on Twitter, but I really find that hard to believe. Many times it seems they are twittering just to say something, like “Good morning Twitterverse” when they begin their day, give more details than I want to know about what they had for lunch, what their children said to them, or when they take a nap.

I realize that this is part of the “like, know, and trust” process that enables people to get to know each other, but sometimes it’s simply too much information..LOL. I’m Twittering primarily to market my business. Consequently, I try and limit my personal twitters to no more than 2 per day. My clients, who create Twitter accounts for marketing, as well, tell me, “I’m signed up. Now what in the world do I Twitter about? How do I market my business with this tool?”

Here are 10 strategies that I use regularly to market my business and my expertise via Twitter. Remember, you have only 140 characters for your tweet (Twitter post).

1. How you’re helping clients

Talk about specific ways that your business helps clients and use their Twitter ID if you have their permission, i.e. “Just finished @clientname brainstorm great Internet marketing plan for 2009” or “Finally finished setting up Quickbooks for local hardware store – now they can invoice their clients”

2. What you’re doing in your business

This is a perfect time to tell others when you’re Read the rest of this entry

Achieving Writing Riches with Minimal Effort

article marketingIf you own, run, and maintain an Internet based business or a website you need to utilize article marketing and therefore need articles. Both website owners and those who don’t own websites but are frequent Internet users know this. Articles quench web users’ thirst for information and knowledge while providing many other benefits for websites.

The Benefits of Articles

Articles help websites achieve high rankings in keyword search results that are relevant to a specific topic or niche. Because many articles posted on the Internet include backlinks, they also help drive website traffic back to your site when they are placed on other sites or in newsletters. Articles aid in increasing customer confidence and trust levels for your website and company.

Well written articles have a viral benefit to both the business and its website traffic. When readers like the articles they read they are likely to tell their friends and family about them and give your website a recommendation.  This will help increase the traffic to your site. As an added benefit, more sales are made if your website traffic trusts and believes in you.

Articles are crucial to keep you ahead of the Read the rest of this entry

google ppcWhat is the best way to create killer pay per click (PPC) ads?  It is all about choosing the “right” words when you create text ads on Google AdWords because you are only allowed a small headline and a couple of follow up sentences (3 lines of text and your URL) to entice someone to click.

Be sure you review the Google Ad guidelines and policies before writing your ads.

Headline: Use your primary keyword in the headline. You have to get attention. While tempting, adding the word “Free” might not be such a great idea if you are trying to sell something. Remember you are paying for every click.  Taking a controversial stance to attract visitors can even work.

Here are two headlines to compare:

1.  Resume Writing Advice

2.  Burn Your Resume

Which one gets your attention?  Most likely the Read the rest of this entry

A Good Brand Goes a Long Way

business brandPersonal brand and product brand loyalty are similar because you must make the public believe the branding message with their emotional expectations of your performance. This performance then leads to the public’s trust which is where the loyalty begins. Much effort needs to be used in making your brand memorable which results in what is know as a “good brand“.

If your brand becomes successful and well-known, you will have customers who always purchase or use your brand. And this is called brand loyalty. If a customer is loyal to your brand, he will not use any other brands aside from your own. You can easily observe this in bag and clothes brands. People only buy and use specific brands because the brands are already well-established and have good reputations.

How does brand loyalty work on a larger scale? Let’s take celebrity branding for example. If someone you like is starring in a movie or a television show, you most likely will tune in to see how they do and what the movie or show is about.

What about in professional sports? Players generally do not get to Read the rest of this entry

Non-Profit Debt Settlement – How It Works

moneyWhen people hear the phrase, “Non-Profit” they’re often amazed to find out that the services are not free. This isn’t uncommon, every non-profit organization still has to pay for buildings, help, utilities, insurance and other expenses. So what is a non-profit debt settlement solution and how are they different from other debt settlement groups?

Non-profit settlement groups and for-profit settlements operate the same basic way. The non-profit group provides free debt counseling and prepares an income analysis. This analysis is the first step to becoming debt free. It will help you establish a budget and recognize areas where you are spending too much.

Using this information, the non-profit group negotiates with your creditors to work out a lower interest rate, or even a lower settlement amount. They then handle the settlement process. This is done through monthly payments that accumulate in an account. Once there is enough in the account to pay off one creditor, the money is withdrawn and the process is started over again with the next creditor. In these ways, profit and non-profit are the same.

The non-profit and for-profit settlement groups differ in Read the rest of this entry
